Looks like good application for mass encryption if you need to encrypt many files. The only drawback is, you need to keep safe your USB flash drive with keyfile. Or use special flash drives with digit combination lock.

I have got only 1GB of RAM on that laptop, and CPU does not supporting x64. That was the main reason, why my aunt has bought new laptop. She needs latest Skype and Discord for videocalls. When she bought that laptop, it has 512mb RAM only and crazy slow 80GB HDD. So it has already been upgraded - 1G...

XFCE and MATE. But XFCE is better. TDE has some bugs and rough edges which I really don't like.

antiX is good distro, but it takes a LONG time to set it up. Almost all settings should be made by modifying configuration text files. Only for experienced users. Also, recently, they have moved to another forum, so it became more complicated to get help.
