I was surprised, usually these type of "best" lists are full of programs that require installing from source or trying to get antiquated binary releases installed because they're not in any distro's repos. I'm on Fedora 27 (with rpm-fusion), and MOST of those listed are available.

Fossmint is a pretty good site so Ive not had issues with their articles.

The only ones ive used from that list are Kdenlive and Blender.

I've "used" blender. No good with it, but I did attempt to use it for a while to learn it so I could help with modeling in the one game I beta test for (as the dev team was at the time 2 people). After a week of not even being able to make basic shapes, I gave up and realized I'm just not going to be good enough fast enough to use it.
I've also used KdenLive and Ardour, but neither to any extent, nor recently.

I use to use Blender a lot but havent done much with it recently. Havent had the time and same here, Im decent but not fast with it.
