Thunderbird not updating
Im using 91.10 which was the most recent update, but 102 just came out. Thunderbird would not update itself and said it was up to date when in fact its not. Had to install 102 directly and its working fine. Nothing major but something I havent encountered previously with Thunderbird.
Re: Thunderbird not updating
I really like the updates to 102. Makes it much easier to use features OTHER than the email.
Re: Thunderbird not updating
Here's an oddity for you...Arch still has Thunderbird 91 in it's main repos (102 is available in AUR)!!
Also, as an answer to the original question, taken from the release notes for 102:

Thunderbird version 102.0 is only offered as direct download from thunderbird.net and not as an upgrade from Thunderbird version 91 or earlier. A future release will provide updates from earlier versions.

Re: Thunderbird not updating
That answers my question but yes, what an odd move.
Re: Thunderbird not updating

Re: Thunderbird not updating
Installing 102 didnt cause any issues for me so the upgrading wasnt an issue. Not sure if that was the case for others.
Re: Thunderbird not updating
Running SparkyLinux MATE Debian Testing - T bird 102 installs as an update. It seems OK - a bit less 1995 than it always used to. That may be a a good thing or a bad thing depending on your taste. Neat little task menu on the left - slight leanings towards other mail cilent UI perhaps. So far so good.
Re: Thunderbird not updating
I looked at Sparky Linux and did not see a Mate edition. Did you Mate from the cli edition? I was just curious how Sparky works as a Debian derivative.
