While they cover the biggest few, they leave out a LOT....

As with all articles not sure what parameters they were using to make those choices but it hits a lot of the better known package managers people might see with common distros.

Why he didnt mention Synaptic, not sure.

I'm guessing they just didn't want to seem overly .deb-centric. They already mentioned dpkg, apt, and aptitude.
