LIVE TV ONLINE
LIVE TV ONLINE
Is there a good program to watch live TV on MX Linux..? I downloaded Hypnotix IPTV player, but it doesn't offer anything local. Couldn't seem to find FreeTux in the repls for MX. I did read VLC media play works well for that. I use VLC player all the time to stream music. Can i use it for local TV stations also..???

Take a look at this, https://itsfoss.com/watch-tv-channels-o ... inux-mint/
Ive never tried these but given that Mint is Ubuntu thus Debian based I assume it should work with Hypnotix.
Second choice Ive never tried either so let me know how it goes.
SMPlayer I know can view internet channels I believe, so you might look at that.

Foss website isn't working. I tried Hypnotix VLC media player, and FreeTuxTv. Nothing...

Just checked itsfoss website and its working now. Hypnotix seems to be popular with Mint users.

It may take some fiddling with one of these to get it to work. Plus, TV stations, cable companies and the Powers That Be aren't going to make it easy to figure out. They SUCK,too...!

I talked to some people over at the Mint forums and so far Hypnotix seems to work for them at least.
Re: LIVE TV ONLINE
Yes... If you want to watch CNN, FOX or other news networks. I couldn't get it to find anything local, and no major networks. FReeTuxTv is even worse yet. I'm not as familiar with these programs as others, but, it shouldn't take Boolean algebra to figure them out..
