This tutorial is a couple years old, but is still a very nice guide for setting up a graphics work station using KDE desktop.

The setup is based on the Fedora 36 KDE spin, but is still usable and full of solid advice. It goes into good detail on color calibration. It also details setting the DE with a color neutral theme so not to interfere with the colors used in the graphics project.
Since the setup is mainly focused on the KDE desktop, much of what is covered would be useful for making a similar setup on distros other than Fedora.
