Most popular programming languages in the IT industry

I wonder if that's in order? If so, in my experience they have PHP and Perl way too low for IT. For software developers, yes, I would agree that's probably correct, but for generic IT overall, I think PHP and Perl both would move above all the C-stuff.

If it's actually in some arbitrary order and not in what they consider the most popular to least, then I basically agree with that list.

Im honestly not sure but it appears they are speaking in terms of software developers.

It does appear that, but they specifically say IT Industry, which is a LOT larger than just software developers.

Writers have a tendency to not look that far ahead, as Im an editor at two sites and we have discussions about issues like this all the time.
