Firefox 61 released

Mint Cinnamon and Rosa nothing.

Impressed so far with 61 on Win7 as the speed has improved from 60 but did have some minor issues with a few websites that caught me by surprise. Tested with Chromium and had no issues so reported it to Mozilla.

Not a huge issue but Ive had a few crashes with 61 which surprised me.

Evidently Im not the only one having some issues with 61 as I spotted some posts on other forums. Some are having far more issues than I am, and so far Ive only been running it on Win7.

I probably haven't tested enough. I use my desktop far more than anything else, and of course I've pinned that the to ESR-60 so it's never going to upgrade to 61.

Its interesting that so far i havent seen FF 61 on any of my distros including the most recent Linux Mint 19.

I think it's installed on all of my laptops EXCEPT the Fedora one. And I haven't booted that in nearly a week now, so it very well may have made it there.

Interesting as Ubuntu/Mint variants typically get Firefox updates very quickly. Ill continue to look thru distros as I use them.

Crashes with FF61 appear to have been caused by hardware acceleration on my Compaq system.

Chrome and Chromium had the same issue and turning off hardware acceleration seems to have worked since yesterday.
