MX-17 YOUTUBE DOWNLOADER
MX-17 YOUTUBE DOWNLOADER
Recently I tried to download "World Anthem" from Frank Marino on YouTube. My FF Downloaded is disabled,...I guess it had stability issues. I tried to use Slim jet,to no avail. I downloaded the YouTube d-loader from synaptic, but still...no avail.... Any suggestions..?
Re: MX-17 YOUTUBE DOWNLOADER
Which plugin did you use? I use "video download helper" and it still works on Debian (can't get it to work on Fedora) with a "helper" application installed for me.

Re: MX-17 YOUTUBE DOWNLOADER
I'm using Palemoon and have the 1-click YouTube Video Downloader 2.4.1 add-on which gives a download link on the page which I can click on to download anything I want to keep (or just view again later off-line). I find it quite good except for occasionally on starting Palemoon I get a tab open with the 1-click info but I think it is only on the next use after updates and only shows once so I don't really worry about it.

Thanks Dai,
I'll give that a try..I'll have to install Palemoon ,but no big deal. I'll let you know how it works...

Take a look at this thread Capt, http://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php?t=45899
I use Clibgrab with MX Linux and its mentioned in the above thread.
SMTube for SMPlayer is also a good choice.
I dont use Youtbe downloaders that often to be honest.

Re: MX-17 YOUTUBE DOWNLOADER
Yes as you say there are many different options when it comes to downloading YouTube (and other) videos, but I just went for the easiest (IMO) option as I am sometimes lazy and just want to click a link to download rather than copy links and paste them into terminals or other gui's which to me just increases the time I have to spend on something "trivial".
I don't use them a lot but often download arduino or electronics videos that I know I will need to reference again or think I will do similar projects in the future.

Re: MX-17 YOUTUBE DOWNLOADER
Reliable and available for a specific distro are what I look for first and the thread shows many choices available from within MX17. Easy to use I prefer but stable, reliable and easy to install a must.
