I might have to try this. It's in the Debian repos, so no need to do the flatpak version...

So I'm using it with GitHub (as I already had an account).

Pretty easy to set up. AFter installing it, launch it and it walks you through setting it up for your local user, which basically consists of creating a security key. Go into your project (or in my case, create a project and go into it) in GitHub, go into the settings, add the computer key in the "deploy keys", give it write access, add the project in SparkleShare and it works exactly like dropbox.

Pretty cool.

Just set up one of my laptops with it as well, definitely liking it. Easy to use, and I could always use git to sync it when I'm rebuilding a machine (I mostly sync setup options for reinstallation) so I don't actually even need to get to a gui to sync!! I might install the flatpak version on my ROSA install just to see how that goes, although I'll check if this is in the repos even if I do.

Didn't use the flatpak after all. Got it installed in ROSA, multiple Debians, and KDE Neon now. Works flawlessly so far in all of them.

The only thing that's problematic with it is...what to use my Dropbox for? Because I do think I prefer this (mostly due to github being much more lenient with how large your repos can be), but now I have a Dropbox account being used for nothing (it's only the free account, but still).

I think you can handle it, let it hang around for awhile.

I just looked and apparently dropbox has been getting a bit more lenient as well, my free account is allowed 2.25 GB...
