I don't use IRC a lot anymore since they implemented requiring being registered on a LOT of the servers, but I always though quassel was the best. HexChat was also good, although nowhere as clean looking. I didn't like Pidgin or Konversation.

Same here, as I dont use it much anymore but Hexchat Ive used the most.
