Ill install this when i get an chance and run it to see how it does. I havent had any issues with the previous 5.3.7 and 5.4.4 versions.

Although I don't generally use LibreOffice, it's good to hear the file format compatibility seems to have taken another big jump forward with 6. I know 5, while still having quite a ways to go, was a giant leap in compatibility over 4. Sounds like this is finally close to the point where LO created files will look as intended, or nearly so, in MS Office.

I havent used LO 6 yet but my boss at another site has and he was impressed with how good MS Office compatibility was with documents.

Still a bit early but its better than 5.4.4 which honestly did pretty well for my wife whos also using FreeOffice.

I'll have to install LO6 and test. I know 5.4.x was good, not great. Softmaker Office, Freeoffice, and OnlyOffice were all far superior, and were within a small margin of equal to each other IMO. Hopefully LO6 is at that level, because that's my primary reason for disliking LO, that everything I do needs to be shared with M$ Office users, and the formatting issues from LO to MS Office simply were too much to tolerate.

I actually use my wife to test LO. She takes things she typically does with Windows/MSO and does them with LO and I see how successful she is, given she runs a business. So far no issues with any of the LO versions 5.37,5.44 and 6.

Its a shame WPS isnt supported better as many people who have tested it really like it.

Indeed, I used to love it when it was KingSoft Office. And they actually supported it rather well, it's only since WPS bought out KingSoft that it's been languishing in alpha status now for 2 years...

Havent tried OnlyOffice yet but my wife tried Freeoffice and really liked it. We've got a little more than 2 years to find a replacement as we wont be going to Windows 10.
