Installed from backports on my desktop today, and did some comparisons to the latest SoftMaker Office and also to MS Office compatibility.

1. This is, by far, the fastest starting LO I've ever seen. Starts FASTER than SoftMaker Office. And that's pretty amazing, given that LO 5.4 vs. SoftMaker 2016 LO took 2-3x the time to start.

2. WOW, is compatibility with MS Office formats improved. My resume looks NEARLY identical to opening it in OnlyOffice or SoftMaker Office. Not quite 100%, but close enough that I could theoretically use LO. Several .xlsx files I use to test compatibility also look VERY close. At the very least, close enough to use.

3. Conversions from .ods to .xlsx or .odt to .docx are near perfect. Previous versions is would absolutely DESTROY formatting, now it's definitely useable.

Overall, huge congratulations to the LibreOffice team. I honestly think that at this point, SoftMaker 2018 may be my last paid office suite. While LO 6 might not be QUITE there, It's a fair bet that at some point in it's development LO 6 will become basically 100% compatible with MS Office formats.
