I keep my history as I often need to refer back to something I had read earlier in the week (sometimes longer back) and I know this can be seen as a security risk but I find it almost invaluable when I forget something (happens more and more often now) or need to refresh what I read earlier.
I guess this is why it doesn't slow down for you, but I think most users would have the history and cache settings as default so they would be on.

I run in private browsing mode most of the time with FF 58 but any links or items I need to revisit I store elsewhere but yes it can be a security issue.

Ive run FF58 though with standard settings when I first tested it and i went 2 weeks with no slowdowns before I began using it regularly.

I still have it installed and occasionally it gets fired up, but it's not my main browser.

I still use multiple browsers even though FF58 is still my favorite.

Yeah, I dump cookies/cache every time I close it, and I haven't had any issues with slowdowns since 57 was released.

Yeah, I have all my favorites saved, anything I find that is interesting that I want to follow up on or just save for later without favoriting I add to pocket.

Exactly, best way for most users in my opinion.

I had downloaded and looked at it for a few minutes when it was first released. I'm not a fan of having to do manual installs regularly, so I wouldn't ever use it regularly since it's not available in any of my preferred OS's except Arch (AUR). From my limited use, seemed to work fine, I didn't care for some of the UI choices, but it was tolerable. It would be much better when (if) they get extensions working so that it can be personalized.
