Not impressed with 61. Spellcheck broken on every distro that has upgraded, and found a thread in the Gentoo forums that it's a known issue with 61 that won't be patched.

Didnt notice as I dont use spellcheck ever.
Let me try and see if spellcheck works. Seems to be fine as I intentionally screwed up a few words and it spotted them fine. Doesnt seem to be overreacting at all.
Just tried it in Win7 and also seems to be fine.

Appears 61.01 patch is already out that fixes bugs and adds features.

My 60-esr works fine still, upgraded it to 61 and had the issue, downgraded to 60-ESR and works fine again. Definitely something with the build of 61 in at least some distro's (Gentoo, Debian and Arch I can confirm).

Looks like Arch has fixed it in their build of 61.0.1
Haven't seen Debian release 61.0.1 yet, hopefully they fix it as well.

It doesnt appear to happen with all distros, which I find interesting but hopefully the patch will work.

Upgraded Fedora today and it got the upgrade to 61 (not 61.0.1), does not suffer the spell check issue.
