KDE Plasma 5.18 released

Completely different topic than Kubuntu, but I happened to look, and Neon DID update their whole version to 5.18.4, not JUST the desktop, unlike w/ 5.18.3.

They are still an official flavor of Ubuntu but yes it just may take a bit longer.

Still no 5.18.4 with Quark or Feren OS.

Maybe they're doing like Neptune used to do. They'd "follow" the latest LTS, package and release 1 or 2 in a row, then skip one or 2 releases, then bundle the next...

Thats what I was thinking, lets hope.

Checked Feren OS last night and they updated to the 5.18.4 KDE, was very pleased.

Q4OS Quark 20.04 updated to 5.18.4, Im pretty happy.

Will this be the future approach, to stay more current?

I doubt it. Probably only because 5.18 is a LTS release, everyone's making sure to get on it. But could be, certainly have been wrong before. I'd be very happy if more people DID start sticking to up to date plasma versions, it's just such a HUGE job of compiling EVERYTHING needed, I can't see it happening for more than a handful of OS's.

In this case its Kubuntu but in the past they were never super up to date.
